Vanessa’s Origin Story

My journey began in hospital rooms long before studios. After nearly dying as a baby and spending much of my childhood in hospitals, I learned early how to endure and keep going. As I grew older, that strength slowly turned into over-giving. I became the caretaker, holding other people’s emotions while losing connection to myself. One day, I realised I no longer knew who I was beneath survival.

I tried many paths to find my way back, but it was sound healing and breathwork that reached me beyond words. My body softened, my breath opened, and parts of me I had abandoned began to return. Healing came gently, step by step, reorganising my life from the inside out.

I guide IMD now because I know how heavy it is to be the strong one. I create spaces where people feel held, where breath becomes safety, and healing is a quiet return to self.
